Just A Thought
One day I went to pick up an item that my wife purchased on the marketplace. As I was leaving, I told the man that sold me the item God bless you and have a great day. He was a Christian and this triggered him to share somehting that God did in his life. In his testimony God delayed then man's plan and schedule which spared his life from an accident. He expressed that he was very greatful that God saved him from death. This lead me to a thought. When our plans are delayed, changed, or cancelled, why do we as Christians think that God has spared us from the unknown, spared us from death for OUR benefit? ….. I must confess, I’m often guilty of thinking this way myself from time to time.
As a Christians, God sparing me from death is not good for me. He has delayed me from being with Him, my Heavenly Father, our Heavenly Father. He has delayed us from eternal happiness, eternal love, Eternal Joy. Now this poses a question, why would God change, delay, or even prevent our plans or schedule?
He does this not for the benefit of me or Him. But for the benefit of others, so that we may spread His word and spread his love, so they too can come to know Christ and have eternal life with Him. The next time your late, miss a bus or flight, dont get mad and dont get upset. Accept God's plan and spread His word for the benefit of others.

Griaffe Analogy
When the mama giraffe gives birth to its baby, the baby giraffe falls serval feet before hitting the ground. This baby giraffe, new to this world laying on the ground, looks at its mother and sees that it should be standing tall, strong and proud. The baby fights, struggles and goes through a tough and difficult time just to get on its feet. It’s a long and hard process for the new baby in this world because it doesn’t know how to get up and stand. Finally, the baby is successful and now standing on its own feet but just before it can enjoy the victory, mama intentionally kicks the baby BACK DOWN to the ground to go through all the pain and struggle yet again… how cruel and mean for the mama to do that, don’t you think?
This actually happens quite a few times, baby finally gets up, mama knocks down again and again, but with each time the baby gets up faster and faster with less pain and less struggle. You see, mama wants to make sure that the baby knows deep down how to get up and up fast, because its life depends on it when there’s real danger. As born-again Christians we are new to this world in a spiritual since and don’t quite know how to stand and walk in this world, but just as the baby looked to its mother to see how, we need to look to CHRIST. I believe one of the reasons God allows bad things to happen and knock us down is so that we too can learn how to focus on HIM and get on our feet faster and faster with each trail and tribulation, to show others that might be distracted or focusing on the wrong things for there are real dangers that prey on the weak and the fallen like a lion stalking for its next prey.
